Tim spent his formative years growing up between the remote
desert of Southern California (now a suburb of Los Angeles) and
the even more remote expanses of an odd and troubled
imagination. He was fortunate enough to find like-minded guides
and compatriots who urged him relentlessly to pursue a life as
an artist. He eschewed their career ideas after a couple years
as an art major at a junior college (few would classify that as
an art education), figuring one could always pursue art as a
hobby. It turns out "always" is not nearly as much time as it
seems. Gaining an Aerospace Engineering degree took up a lot of
time and the amount left for art was small. He went on to a 12-
year stint as a foreign relations troubleshooter for the
government, which left even less time. But he accepted a
position as a travel specialist for a major corporation and
there was light as he emerged from the tunnel. That freed up
reams of time, but left the motivation wheel static, unused to
having more time than tasks.
Tim is basically a river, taking the path of least resistance.
Fortunately, his friends were there to remind him of their
desire to see him turn perfectly good sheets of sparkly white
wood pulp into receptacles for random swaths of graphite. There
also appeared forums where he could potentially share this odd
desire to push curves and lines together. And thusly there was
motivation.
And the wheel is moving.
