Debbie Hughes - Science Fiction and Fantasy illustrator. Residence in Knoxville, TN. Graduate of Furman University - Greenville, S.C. with a B.A. in Fine Art. Debbie grew up influenced by her grandmother (Hildegarde Hamilton)- a well-known landscape artist who travelled the world documenting her travels in oil on canvas. Unlike her grandmother Debbie paints landscapes of the future and of the imagination and her figures represent the strongest and most human aspect of the work. In addition to illustration work for Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror books, magazines, game cards and interactive C.D.'s , she paints subject matter that is from her own ideas and continues to exhibit these works at S.F. conventions and mainstream galleries.
